Following inspections of worksites where injuries were reported, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has compiled a preliminary list of the top 10 most commonly cited workplace hazards for fiscal year 2024 (Oct. 1, 2023, to Sept. 30, 2024).
They are:

- Hazard Communication
- Ladders, construction
- Respiratory Protection, general industry
- Control of Hazardous Energy (lockout/tagout)
- Powered Industrial Trucks, general industry
- Fall Protection Training, construction
- Scaffolding, construction
- Eye and Face Protection, construction
- Machine Guarding, general industry
The list provides insight into the preventable injuries, illnesses, and deaths related to these workplace hazards.
